Installation
Instructions
To Install:
1. Put the zipped file in your c:\windows directory.
2. Unzip this file (use WinZip or pkunzip). This should result in
three files, a .scr file (the screen saver), a file named BWCC.DLL
and a readme.txt file which has these instructions.
For Net in Arcadia Screen Saver options:
Windows 95 users:
From the Control Panel, select Display, and then Screen Saver for Windows 95 options.
Windows 3.1 users:
Select Control Panels, Desktop and then Screen Saver to select Windows 3.1 options.
Known Problems
If you get the error "BWCC.DLL MISSING" this indicates that either
1: You need to place the file into your windows directory. Find the
directory where you unzipped the screen saver and it should be there.
Move it to c:\windows (or your windows directory on another drive).
2: Another
program has corrupted your graphics memory and the screen saver cannot
operate until you restart windows. This .dll file is compiled into the
screen saver itself; Windows tries to load it but it cannot because there
is insufficient memory. This problem can occur even on systems with 32 MB
or more of RAM because graphics memory of this type is a fixed commodity
on a Windows system, separate from regular RAM. If you'd like to try to
use the .dll separately, I've made it available here but it is also
part of the screen saver zip file that you downloaded. You should only
need this if you downloaded the
screen savers prior to June 1997.
